Experience
Eamon is a Chartered Physiotherapist and the founder of Mayo Physiotherapy & Performance. He has recently returned to Ireland after working abroad since 2011, bringing with him a wealth of international experience across private practice, elite sport, and complex injury rehabilitation.
Eamon began his career in Manchester, England, working in a busy private physiotherapy clinic where he developed strong foundations in musculoskeletal assessment and hands-on treatment. From there, he moved to Melbourne, Australia, where he had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients — from elite athletes in athletics, tennis, AFL, and rugby, to individuals struggling with persistent neck and back pain.
His career then took him to Abu Dhabi in the UAE, where he was invited to lead a high-end physiotherapy facility. During this time, Eamon managed both elite athlete populations and clients with complex, long-term injuries and chronic pain. His expertise led to him being headhunted for the role of Head of Physiotherapy at Al Jazira Football Club, giving him the opportunity to work with international-level footballers and attend prestigious tournaments, including the FIFA Club World Cup.
After more than 14 years working abroad, Eamon returned home with his wife and three children, motivated by a desire to bring his skills, experience, and patient-centred approach to the west coast of Ireland. His clinics are built on the values of personalised care, clear communication, and empowering people to take control of their health.
Outside of physiotherapy, Eamon enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing football, and being outdoors as much as possible.
